Venice offers travelers an incredible selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, and a wide variety of magical places to sit down and enjoy them. I must have eaten two or three kilos of tangerines one day while I sat with my brother on the edge of Piazza San Marco watching another incredible sunset. Though Venice is slowly sinking into the swamp in which it is built, there is no doubt that the Italians will figure out how to continue living there. Perhaps one day everyone will simply move aboard the elegant gondolas which characterize the craftsmanship of this region.
