Joy in Uganda
Let your inner light shine. This boy owns the over sized shirt he is wearing, and little else in this physical world. And yet every person we have ever shared this image with has been touched by the incredible joy shining from this young African boy. Mekael Volimte took this photograph while staying with a family he met while traveling in Eastern Uganda, Africa. The family was celebrating the circumcision of their teenage son. The boy in this photograph is standing in front of his house holding a ceremonial baton, and beaming his joy to the world. He and every beautiful being like him are living proof that the best things in life are free. |
